Digital management of MSDPR hearing pre-determinations and claims now available

Tuesday, Aug 4, 2020

As the benefits administrator for the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction (MSDPR), we are excited to announce that Pacific Blue Cross now offers electronic pre-determination and claims functionality for hearing products and services for MSDPR clients.

This automation allows us to provide better service, help streamline your administration of MSDPR clients, reduce your claims processing costs, and turn most claims and pre-determination confirmations around faster (electronic pre-determination results are often viewable within seconds of submission).

If you are registered for PROVIDERnet and direct deposit with Pacific Blue Cross, you now have the ability to confirm most product or service pre-determinations and submit most MSDPR hearing claims electronically. Plus, the direct deposit set-up ensures reimbursements from all Pacific Blue Cross plans are paid right into the bank account you set up on PROVIDERnet.

If you do not currently have a PROVIDERnet account, we encourage you to register today.

Note: There will be no changes to MSDPR benefit coverage amounts for hearing products or services. Reminder that pre-determinations are required for all hearing instrument claim reimbursements.
