Notice is hereby given that BC Life & Casualty Company intends to make an application to BC Financial Services Authority pursuant to The Financial Institutions Act, for approval to cause itself to be reinsured, on an assumption basis, against the risks undertaken under the policies in Canada related to its Property and Casualty travel insurance business, by Canassurance Insurance Company. Subject to receipt of all government and regulatory approvals, it is currently intended that the proposed transaction will be completed on or after September 29, 2021.

For a 30-day period after the date of publication of this notice, a policyholder may request a copy of the assumption reinsurance agreement with respect to the proposed transaction or the report of the independent actuary by writing to BC Life & Casualty Company, c/o the Corporate Secretary, 4250 Canada Way, Burnaby, British Columbia, V5G 4W6.
