New Directors on the Pacific Blue Cross Board

PBC Health Benefits Society (dba Pacific Blue Cross) is pleased to welcome three new directors to the Board of Directors.

The new directors to the board are as follows:

Gary Fane, BA, LLM, MIR, Executive Director, Negotiations and Strategic Partnerships at British Columbia Nurses Union. Mr. Fane has been with the BCNU since 2005 where he is an experienced practitioner at arbitrations and Labour Board hearings, balancing the needs of the health care system and the nurses to mutual satisfaction. Mr. Fane also serves on the Board of Directors at Nav Canada.

Brian Woods, B.Sc., M.H.A., C.P.A., C.M.A, Principal, Health Capacity Solutions, a consulting company specializing in health care finance, major deal structuring, P3 projects, and general management. Mr. Woods has thirty-eight years of progressive senior health care leadership, across many organizations including Fraser Health Authority where he served as Chief Financial Officer. His career has been dedicated to strengthening the financial and support infrastructure upon which our public health system is based.

Robert Wallis, B.Com., ICD.D. Senior Vice President and Partner Kal Tire. Mr. Wallis recently retired as Senior Vice President of the Mining Tire Group at Kal Tire, which operates across Canada and Internationally. In addition to Kal Tire, Mr. Wallis worked in operations and finance at several organizations. Mr. Wallis also serves on the Board of Directors at Allnorth Consultants Limited.

With the addition of Mr. Fane, Mr. Wallis, and Mr. Woods, the Pacific Blue Cross board totals fourteen directors.
