Health Care Claims

You can claim health expenses in three ways:

  • Online
  • Mail
  • In person

Online

Member Profile is the fastest and simplest way to submit online claims for:

  • Prescription drugs
  • Physiotherapy
  • Massage therapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Chiropractic services
  • Naturopathy
  • Psychology
  • Podiatry
  • Vision care expenses
  • Monthly orthodontic treatments

You will see instantly if your claim is approved. Funds will be deposited into your bank account in a few days. Be sure to keep your original receipts should you be asked to provide them for verification.

Sign into Member Profile and click Submit a Claim under the Claims tab.

Mail or In Person

For all other eligible health expenses, you can mail in your claim or drop it off in person to our office. Claim forms are available for download from Member Profile.

To ensure prompt payment, please follow these steps:

  • Enter all requested information on the form, then print and sign it
  • Ensure all supporting documents and original receipts are included (remember to keep photocopies for your records)
  • Please use blue or black ink only
  • Keep your receipts loose and flat in the envelope (no staples, paper clips or tape)
  • Submit only one of each official receipt (no cashier or Interac receipts)
  • Add up the health expenses for each person and enter the total in Part 3 of the claim form
  • Mail the signed form with your receipts to Pacific Blue Cross at the address indicated on the form

Additional information if you are claiming for:

Prescription drugs

Pay direct

If your benefit plan includes pay direct drug claims, your pharmacist can bill us electronically for eligible prescription drugs. Provide your policy and ID numbers to the pharmacy and pay only for expenses not covered by your plan.

Claim online

If pay direct is not included on your plan, pay for your prescription drugs and submit the drug claim online for reimbursement. Be sure to keep your original receipts should you be asked to provide them for verification.

Hospital accommodation

Hospitals in British Columbia can submit eligible expenses for semi-private and private acute care rooms to us directly on your behalf.

Custom foot orthotics or orthopedic shoes

If your claim is for custom foot orthotics or orthopedic shoes, please see the special claiming instructions under Related Content on the right side of this page.

Not all extended health care plans cover foot orthotics or orthopedic shoes. You can verify coverage by referring to your plan booklet or by signing into Member Profile.
