Claiming deadline information

Claims submission deadlines differ based on your policy. You can find out the specific claiming deadline for your plan by referring to your plan booklet or by signing into Member Profile.

Claims for expenses incurred since January of this year do not necessarily need to be submitted by December 31.

The annual deadline for submitting eligible claims is different based on each policy. Please check the claiming deadline on your policy to avoid missing it.

How to find your claiming deadline

You can find your claiming deadline in Member Profile:

  1. On the Member Profile homepage, scroll down to the Your Plan Covers section
  2. Select More details
  3. Click Benefits, then select the Plan Information tab
  4. Select the Claims Submission tab

When you should submit your claim

We recommend submitting your claim as soon as possible after your service or purchase to avoid missing your claim. 

Remember, you can quickly and easily submit claims, check claims submission deadlines, find your coverage balances, and much more by logging in to Member Profile or our Mobile App.

  1. What happens if I miss my claims submission deadline?

    The claims submitted after the deadline will not be eligible for reimbursement. Be sure to check your plan details in Member Profile to avoid missing your deadline.

  2. How long does it take to process a claim?

    Processing times for a claim may vary depending on the type of claim and the documentation provided. You can check the status of your claim in Member Profile.

  3. Can I submit claims throughout the year?

    Yes, you can submit the claims at any time during the year. We suggest you submit claims routinely to avoid missing your deadline.

  4. Can someone submit claims on my behalf?

    In some cases, your provider may be able to submit claims on your behalf through direct billing. Check with your provider to see if this option is available.
