Second Medical Opinion

Ensuring the right care, at the right time

When faced with a serious medical condition, your employees need peace of mind that comes from knowing that their diagnosis is correct and that their doctor's treatment plan offers them the best possible outcome.

To ensure quality treatment and prevent potential misdiagnosis, your employees can access Second Opinion®, a service offered by Pacific Blue Cross in partnership with the McGill University Health Centre, a Canadian institution and one of North America's leading medical facilities.

When the employee's medical documentation is reviewed, a written Second Opinion consultation report reviewing diagnosis and treatment plan will be prepared and couriered to the employee and their physician. If required, a consultation between the employee's physician and the consulting medical specialist can be arranged.

This is a valuable Canadian based service that broadens the care and treatment options your employee receives.
